Our town is about to undergo a major change. It is the hub of an EPA dredging project that is to begin operations this year after many years of planning and negotiations. General Electric is responsible for dumping PCB waste into the Hudson River many years ago. The water is clean but there is apparently sediment .

I check your blog every morning to start my day with a beautiful image, and you never disappoint. Who knew construction equipment against all that natural beauty could look so amazing?! If I had your talent, I'd be a millionaire!
How ironic that something so lovely could be concealing dangerous toxins.
Isn't just the way life is? Nothing is ever exactly the way it looks, always secrets!
I am always skeptical of any statement that has a "But" halfway through. The water is clean BUT... I really like you BUT... Hopefully they make your areas safe again!
I work with EPA on a grant to do just this- clean up sites that have been contaminated. I can't wait to see what this site will look like once the clean up has finished. What a success story it's going to be. It's beautiful now and will be that much more beautiful when it's preserved to it's natural state. :)
