Dock of the Bay

April's first sunrise.

It seems lately all I have time for are these very early shots. The road we take to work follows along the Hudson River which provides for some spectacular sunrise's, but I am growing anxious to get out for some variety. The construction project I'm on is ongoing with my normal starting time of between 6 and 6:30 am and by 3 pm we are on our way back, but worn out. I'm finding my self asleep most nights by 8.

I do visit many blogs when I can and with an occasional comment. Please know that your visits here and comments do not ever go unnoticed and it makes the end of my day when I find I have given someone a better day with a glimpse of time.

You have a very discerning eye. I'm even more amazed at the shots you get and the fact that you post every day knowing what a narrow window of time you have to take them.

I always appreciate your sunrise shots. It's the time of day that I rarely see and it is sooo beautiful! Even when I am awake at sunrise, I'm not generally happy about it, so the inspiration to grab my camera generally goes unrecognized.

You should snap a few of the construction site. I LOVE woodwork, especially the in between, saw-dusty phase. Mmmmm... I can smell it now. It's one of my favorite smells. Can you tell I'm the granddaughter and sister of finish carpenters? I LOVE a good job site! Wish I could take pics of one. Oooh, maybe a pile of curly pieces of sawdust. I love it.

I'm a night owl and have never found a reason to get up early enough to see the sun rise! :) However, your early morning shots have actually tempted me...

I can't thank you enough for sharing these photos. I check your blog every day and I my soul is always uplifted.
