In the Eye of the Beholder
This tree caught my eye while out for a hike with Chase, my Golden Retriever. Simply a dead tree still standing along a century old logging canal become marsh and bird sanctuary.
Perspective, composition, light and the rule of 3rd's. All major components of a good photograph. I remain humble in my art because I truly do not understand my own talent. I receive countless compliments on a daily basis at Flickr.com and I have received honorable mention in several websites and blogs. All this, yet I press the shutter button without thought to anything but what my minds eye sees.
"In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular ... sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice."
Ansel Adams
Intuitive... I believe. Practice... naturally. But passion is my driving force. A passion to capture a moment in time.

April 6th Sunset
The Hudson River park here is only a couple of football fields away from my house. I saw this from my house and managed to get there on time to shoot it.

Special Moment
Another shot of Stacy and Jamie. They love this one.
The wedding was last weekend which turned out great. I was able to provide about 300 shots. The good news for me is.... they are very pleased with the results! Shooting weddings is a huge responsibility. I take as many as 600 shots in order to get at least 300 good ones.
