Venturing out for that moment of color when most sane people are still asleep is a gamble, but it paid off yesterday. I watched as these colors formed, took a few shots and literally watched them disappear moments later.

what a beauty!Sure itwas worth losing some sleep!:)
Wow. Sunrise shots are my all time favourites. It's photos like this one that makes me glad I get up early almost every day to see them.
Absolutely fantastic.
Your blog is terrific. I'm in Amsterdam NY so I appreciate the Adirondack images and stories and weather! More snow today! You've also inspired me to drag my butt out of bed earlier to catch that beautiful morning light!
Beautiful!
Brrr....looks cold tho. We have had 60 degree weather here....your pic looks like we usually do.
My daffodils and hyacinth's are peeking out their little head!

melting snow under warm light *squee* --> my own imagination
I live in tropical area, so I never see snow (for real)
This is why your list of followers is so large - you always provide a beautiful start to the day.
Your pic made it a very good morning indeed!
beautiful! it was definitely worth waking up for :)
Beautiful shot...well worth getting up early!! I usually miss the early morning colors but always see the sunsets :0) My living room and studio face the west and the sun setting into the water is always stunning!
Cheers
Wow... just can't describe that! Very nice!
One of those truly amazing sights! Those of us who stay in bed appreciate those of you who capture it in pictures for us! :)
Isn't it amazing how quickly it comes and goes? I've lost my shot simply because by the time I came back with my camera, the colors had already faded.
What a fantastic shot. I have been wanting to get a few sunrises and sunsets but it has just been too cold lately. Love your blog!!
