Heavy fog.
I will be spending the day with my Valentine, my best friend, my wife Patty in the hospital. Our son Adam just returned from Combat Medic training this past Wed. night. He was near Houston Texas and something happened to him down there. He is so very sick and the Dr.'s cannot diagnose it. Every test done so far has come back negative. He woke up sick Thursday morning and has been in the hospital since Thursday night. I spent 14 hours there yesterday and Patty only went home to shower. She spent the night with him and I'll be heading there again myself by 6:00 am.
I had meant to do some nice floral shot for today but have been unable to. I wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.
Update...
It's now 7:45 pm.
Oh my God.... thank you all for your incredible kindness and support.
Adam is still in rough shape and no diagnosis. We have scheduled a spinal tap for tomorrow to see if it's meningitis. He spent a week in the field just before coming home as part of the final's of medic school. While out there they do mock surgery's and such but actually insert IV needles into one another... Adam had as many as 14 inserted before they hit a vein... outdoors!! So it could be related to this also. We are not happy with the Army for this practice !!
Thank you all again and I will post more tomorrow.
Have a nice night.

I am so very sorry. I am sending my best wishes to him.
ohhh, I am sending my best wishes to him too.
I hope that all gets better for your son and they find out what the problem is. I will say a little prayer. Be safe out there in the fog. Great shot btw
Hoping the fog clears quickly in your life and clear skies lay ahead. Best wishes to your family.
I understand how worried you and your wife are. My son retired from the Coast Guard (medically)very young. He first had a virus attack his heart /then a rare bacteria hit his lungs. He's recovered and wished he was still in. This was 4-5 years ago. I'll be praying for your son, all things are possible.
The pictures are beautiful.
Sorry to hear about you're son, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Pass on best wishes from a fellow medic.
I have your blog in my blog list in my margin and it throws up these small but beautiful little thumbnails in my margin. As a thank-you, it's the least I can do to say I wish your son a speedy return to full health and you and your wife a speedy return to worry-free normality.

Sorry to hear about your son, I will send out prayer for him. I hope everything turns out well. Stay strong.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hope to hear an update soon.

So sorry your son is sick. We'll pray that the docs figure it out and you all come home well.
May God, the ultimate healer and creater of his precious son Adam surround you and your family with His power and redeeming love. May your hearts know his comfort and peace. Almightly God, give all knowledge and wisdom to the physicians that they may accurately diagnose and treat Adam's illness. May Adam's healing be swift and for your glory. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
The first thing I thought of was that peanut thing, the salmonella and one shipment had metal fragments in it.
Everyone is praying for you and your family, so I'm just going to keep your music playing all day on my computer
to remind me that the power of human thought can work wonders.
I will repeat ~ Adam is well ~ all day and hope it helps. Valentines are hearts, and your heart is the purest heart.
Since you couldn't be there to put flowers on your site I put a rose for your family on my blog. "May the peace that surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ." Philippians 4:7
This photo is rather fitting as I'm sure you are feeling as though you are pushing through heavy fog!!!!!
So very sorry your beloved son is sick...may he be well very soon...I wish you and yours all the best!

Your photo illustrates beautifully that we never know what lies ahead. The only way to find out is to walk on, and hope the fog will lift. I send a prayer, too.
That is such a beautiful image..
I hope your son gets well soon!
Sending your family love
xx

As the mom of a combat veteran I can share your pain. My prayers are with your family and especially with your son. I hope to hear he is well on the way to recovery soon.

It seems, the picture show, what you feel inside...
I pray for your son. Hope it will be better soon. Best wishes for him and the hole family.
Michael and Patty, my heart goes out to you. May God give the doctors wisdom to know how to help, and give Adam strength to fight. I pray for God's comfort to surround you and his peace to encourage you.
Michael, we are so sorry to hear about your son, Adam. We live in the Greater Houston area. Is Adam here in Houston? If so, we will do whatever it is you need us to. Please let us know. We will keep all of you in our prayers.

The least I could do is keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
HVD.
I can only echo the sentiments already expressed. In the short time I have been following your blog, I have found great inspiration in your pictures. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I had a spinal tap several years ago and have some advice. Some people ,of which I am one, will get the WORST headache of their life due to the loss of spinal fluid around the brain. Pain medicine provides no relief and after 4 days it was suggested I have a blood patch. They remove a very large tube of blood and reinsert it into the spinal column to replace the spinal fluid. Almost instantaneously the pain was gone. I was furious to know that I suffered for days pumped full of pain medication that did not work. I hope this advice is not needed, but insist on it if is. Best wishes to your son and make sure you and your wife take care of yourselves too.
I hope everything is alright! I will definitely pray for your family. For times like this, all the support you can get is great. :)
So happy to read that Adam is doing better, and hope he continues to improve!
This is one of the most naturally beautiful photos I've ever seen. Kudos!
I am praying for your son. My own son is recovering from acute leukemia, so I understand how you must feel. Stay strong! :)
